French citizen studying in Japan

Hi I am Zak, A French citizen studying in Tokyo for two years.
I would like to visit Shanghai for 3 or 5 days from Japan, and then go back to Japan as well.

What kind of visa do I need? And where to apply to get it (France of Japan)?

Thank you,

Well, you need to apply for a tourist visa. You can apply for the visa in local Chinese Embassy. Including the regular documents, you have to present the proof that tells your legal stay in Japan.
