I am going to Shanghai to attend a pharmacy conference . What type of visa should I apply for ?

I am attending a conference in Shanghai and my host is providing the letter of invitation. It's a commercial conference (not govt) and my host is a business.
According to the Chinese Embassy in Brisbane I need an "M" visa.0
