Please help ASAP   My husband and I missed our flight back to Canada  from Thailand we are both  Permanente residents of Canada   on vacation in Thailand  My wife has a Guatemala  passport  and PR card for Canada and a Thailand visa I have Thailand passport  we have a new flight that lands in Hong Kong for us to board another flight to Toronto Canada

If your travel route qualify for the visa-free waiver in China, your wife doesn't need a transit G type, but you need to apply for one because Thailand passport holders cannot use the free transit policy.
