About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Inbound FRA - Shanghai via Hanoi, outbound Shanghai - Ho Chi Minh City - does 144 h exemption apply

I'm flying Inbound Frankfurt - Shanghai via Hanoi, outbound Shanghai - Ho Chi Minh City - does 144 h exemption apply although I'm flying inbound via Vietnam and outbound to Vietnam?

144 hours transit without visa does not apply, because Vietnam-China-Vietnam is not a transit. You need a visa in advance to fly that route.
