About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I qualify for 144 hours visa free transit?

I am flying with a US passport from Taipei —> Shanghai —> Hong Kong.

I will be spending 3-4 days total in Shanghai, Wuxi, and Suzhou. Am I qualified for 144 hours visa free transit?
