About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

hi i am a u.s citizen and planning to visit beijing in april for 3 days . do i need to get a visa?

If you are traveling Country A - Beijing (144 hours) - Country B then you don't need to apply for a visa because you can enjoy 144 hour free transit.
