USB lighters, brand new, never charged. Chances of taking them outside of China?

I'm an international student, traveling home with a year's worth of accumulated stuff. I am concerned about being able to take some things in my checked in luggage. Most of all, an air humidifier (no battery, just cord, mostly plastic) and a few USB chargeable arc lighters I got as a present for my parents (zero fuel of any kind in them, they've never been charged either. Will it be possible to take these items in my checked luggage to an international flight from Pudong airport in Shanghai? Thanks!

It will be ok for you to bring the air humidifier. Just put it into the checked luggage.
For the USB chargeable arc lighters, you can put it in the checked luggage based on your situation. But I heard that sometimes the airport staff won't allowed. Thus in order to be sure, you shouldn't bring it.

If you have many things to take home, I suggest you send with China Post separately. Then you can have a hassle-free flight journey.
