About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I go to Dalian to celebrate a wedding. I have a itinerary Montreal Dalian by air China.

But after Dalian we have another itinerary Dalian Hanoi by China Southern. So do we need a visa to entry China?

No, you don't need it if you will travel like Montreal-Dalian (within 72 hours)-Hanoi. Nice trip.

There's no nonstop flight from Montreal to Dalian, so if your flight stops somewhere within Mainland China and your layover in China is more than 24 hours, you need a visa.

Also, Dalian to Hanoi on China Southern probably stops in Guangzhou. This is looking like a case where you need a visa.
