About:China Customs Declaration

I intend to buy some wines and make sweets. Is it ok to put them in my luggage or i need to declare?

basically i wanna know especially for the wines that have alcohol and can easily break is there something i could do, should i inform them and declare it or just i need to find a good package and throw it into my luggage?

According to the regulation, you could bring no more than 1500ml of wine with alchoholic level over 12%. The part more than 1500ml will be taxed and the taxed rate is 50%. And it should only be put in the check-in luggage. When checking in the luggage, you can inform the airport staff and see whether if you need to find another package to transport the wines.

first of all thanks for the answer. Secondly because it's my first trip what do you mean in the check in luggage. I know i can have a luggage that i can have on me for about 8 kg and the main one that can be 23kg. which one is the one you mean, the one i will have onboard or the other?
