About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I am a Malaysian working and residing in Nigeria.

I would like to apply for a China Visa while in Nigeria. Could I do that ? What are the requirements ? Do I need a confirmed flight ticket for the application ? Besides, I read that overseas Chinese are eligible for a 5 years multiples entries China Visa, is this offer in effect now and available in Nigeria ? Thanks. Regards, HK Ooi

Yes, you can do that.
If you want to apply for a tourist L type, you need to provide passport and copy of its data page, the completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, hotel reservation, round trip air tickets and residence permit in Nigeria.
I’m confused of this information “overseas Chinese are eligible for a 5 years multiples entries China Visa”. Do you mean if you can apply for 5-year multiple-entry visa? As per what I know, it is impossible.

Oliver, thanks for the response. The is a recent news that overseas Chinese are eligible to apply for multiple entries visa, valid for 5 years, beginning 1 Feb 2018. I seek clarification if this is in effect now ? I am an overseas Chinese, born Malaysian, and would like to apply for this 5 years visa.

I just checked and found that it is in effect now. You can contact with the CVASC to confirm that.
