My parents are Indian passport holder and we are traveling from Vancouver to Shanghai with 21 hour layover and then going to Delhi. On our return flight from Delhi to Shanghai the layover is 32 hours and then flying to Vancouver. Do my parents need to apply for a China visa?? Please advise

You need to apply for a transit G type for your second transit in Shanghai. You can use the 24 hour direct transit when you transit in Shanghai for 21 hours.
