About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa required for a 4 day stay in shanghai for Canadian and EU citizen (not in transfer)

Hi, I plan a short trip to Shanghai from Canada. Does the 72 or 144 hour exemption apply if I am not in transit?

Tina, you mean you will fly back to Canada after visiting Shanghai? If yes, you need to apply for a tourist L visa in advance.
