About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I have a round trip ticket from Norfolk Virginia to Beijing.

I’m staying 2 weeks in S Korea then on to Beijing. On the return, there is a 1 hour stop over in Korea, then nonstop back to Norfolk. Do I need a Visa or do I qualify for the 72 hour program?
Thanks

You need a visa because you are not transiting in Beijing.

What is you detailed route exactly? Pretty sure there are no nonstop flights from Norfolk to anywhere outside the US.

Answer is the same. You are not in transit at Beijing, so you need a visa.
