About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

When we made our reservation last fall there wasn't the possibility of the 144 hour Visa.

We will stay exactlyy 69 hours in Beijing so we planned to apply at the airport for the 72 hours free transit.

Do will still have to apply for that or isn't there anymore the 72 hour free transit but only the 144 hour free transit?
If both is existing: I guess there is a special boot for people applying for the 72 hours free transit or the 144 hours free transit?

Stefan, now, the 72 hours has been extended to 144 hours, so if your travel route qualifies, you can use the 144 hour free transit.
