About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

staying in china more than 180 days

Hi this is Krish. I am an Indian and my wife is Chinese and she is currently living in China. We are married in HongKong and we have HongKong's marriage certificate. Right now i am in China and want to apply visa for long term staying. Which documents i need to provide for staying more than 180 days and is HongKong marriage certificate valid in China? Looking forward for your reply. Thanks

You need to prepare passport the its copy, the completed application form affixed with a passport-style photo, an invitation letter from your wife and copy of her Chinese ID card, and your marriage certificate.
The marriage certificate needs to be authenticated first and then it can be used.

Thanks for reply. Can you also suggest me that where should i process for authentication of my HonKong marriage certifacte? should i back to India and visit Chinese embassy there or it can be done in China?
