Hi, is Pudong international airport in Shanghai far from downtown?

How many hours before the flight and are there rush hours in the metro? Thanks

Pudong International Airport is located in Pudong New District, about 18 miles (30 kilometers) from downtown area. Generally speaking, you are advised to arrive at the airport 2.5 to 3 hours in advance before the flight departure. The peak hours are 07:00-08:30, 08:30-17:00, 17:00-19:00 from Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 18:30 in Saturday and Sunday.
