Hi, I will be travelling to Shanghai there for five nights and then Suzhou for three nights. In getting there I am happy to take the train from Shanghai as this seems reasonably simple.In returning I wanted to find out what the quickest and easiest way is to get back to Pudong Airport? We have a 19:30 flight that we will need to make, so I am also trying to work out how much time to leave, we will need to be at the airport by 17:30.I was thinking fast ride and then a taxi to the airport?

You can still use the high speed rail for return trip. There are many rides to Shanghai Railway Station or Hongqiao Station. From railway station to the Pudong airport, you may choose airport shuttle bus, taxi or subway. There are shuttle bus from both stations to the airport. Both would take around 1.5 hours based on the traffic condition. These bus runs about every 15 to 25min. Taxi should be a little faster than shuttle bus since no stops on the way. Subway would also take around 1.5-2 hours on the way. The good thing is that you never had traffic problem by subway.
