do i need transit visa from china?

Hello, I am traveling to Nepal from Canada and I have Canadian travel documents and I have 19 hours layover in kunming(kmg) airport in China so do I need transite visa. Any one can help on this case I call embassy of China in Canada  about this but they told me they don’t know what a surprise.

Don’t worry! You don’t need a visa in that case, since you can enjoy a 24h visa free transit.

Make sure there are no other stops on your route. most xhinese flights from Canada stop first in shanghai. the visa time starts from the first flight. I know this from experience.
