About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

I have got my 2 years visa ?

1. After that i have to register in the police station
2. what are the required documents to apply for the resident permit to convert the long term visa to residence?

3. whats the application processing time ?
4. Is it allowed to travel outside china without registering temporary residence permit since i have 2 years visa on the passport ?
i have made a flight reservation on Feb 10th , is it possible to get it done before that ?

Vic, first, could you please tell which type you hold? S1, Q1, work Z type or student X1 type?

Z (work type) 2 years visa duration is printed on the passport !
