Huangshan - Shanghai

Does anybody have info (station name, price and timing) regarding travelling from Huangshan to Shanghai by the cheapest mode of transport say bus or railway train? Am thinking of going to Shanghai from either Mt Huangshan or Tangkou.

My plan is to get down from Mt huangshan then head to Hongcun and stay there for a night before heading to Tangkou the next day, or just head to Tangkou after Hongcun and spend a night at Tangkou instead. Which is better?

First of all, I wanna tell you that Tangkou refers to the south gate of Mt. Huangshan. When you mention Mt. Huangshan here, do you refer to downtown area? Anyway, I suggest you go to Hongcun first, then stay for a night in Tangkou. Visit the mountain and go back to Shanghai. Direct coaches are available from the New National Highway Exchange Center near the entrance of the mountain and they leave at 07:20, 15:00, 15:30, 16:30. The bus fare is CNY148 per person and it takes about 6h.
