About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

Is Z train is clean

I am planning to travel from Guangzhou to Harbin by 'Z' type ride, its almost 40 hours Journey. I wonder if Z type is clean or not because I heard some of the rides are not clean at all. I would highly appreciate if someone can reply me timely.

This is a little hard to say, some of them are better then others. The washroom, I have to say, they are clean at the begining of the trip but were not well maintained during the trip.

I didn't travel to Harbin. I used Z types on Beijing-Xian-Shanghai routes. For 15 hours trips, I think it is no problem, I can sleep most of the time. I see here that it take around 35 hours from Guangzhou to Harbin, so I suppose you need to prepare some books/movies etc to kill the time and power bank should be useful then.
By the way, I think it is better to go with a train that start from Guangzhou. During my trip to Shanghai, I can see that if one passenger get off at halfway, they will not change beddings.
