About:China Family Reunion Visa

Hi I wonder if you can answer this question for me. My wife is a Chinese Citizen.

We want to go to China for the summer with our daughter who was born in the US. Which type should we apply for, and what about that ten year visa. Can I apply for that, and is it a available with a Q type also? Another thing is we already have our tickets and plan to stay with my mother in law, so do we also need an invitation letter along with out itinerary? Thanks for your kind reply.

WW from Tampa.

Your daughter can apply for a Q type for China. So do you. The 10-year Q2 type is available. Your mother-in-law can issue an invitation letter to you.

If your wife have green card, both your daughter and you should apply for Q2 visa. However, if your daughter was born before your wife got green card, your daughter is still a Chinese citizen and should apply for Chinese travel document instead of a visa.
