About:Chinese Consulates in Thailand

Does anyone know if we can change our tourist visa to a student X type in Thailand ?

We have a china tourist L type. We applied to a school and now need to change our visa to a student X1 or X2 type.
Can that be done at the Chinese counsulate in Bangkok with going back to our home country?
Does anyone know How much does it cost?

Karen, you can try to apply for a student X type in Thailand. It is not a change.

Were you able to get an X visa in Thailand? I am planning to do the same.
