My clients are flying CX ADL-HKG-SHA and have 2 nights pre accommodation in Shanghai prior to their

cruise from SHA to SIN - do they need a china visa or are they able to use the 144 hour free transit?

The free transit is fine as long as they don't have any ports of call in Mainland China.
