About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

What kind of marriage certificate should I have?

Hi, I am an American preparing to marry a Chinese national. Are there any differences in policies if I should have a Chinese marriage certificate or American one? Also, am I understanding correctly that after marriage I could immediately get this kind of residence permit without having to have a job? Thanks!

If you get the marriage certificate in USA, you need to get it attested by the embassy of China there, and then your marriage will be recognized by China.
