About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I just went to the PSB and told them my passport will only arrive after my visa expires

and that I want to get an extension in the meantime to prevent having to reapply. They turned me away and said I should return whenever my new visa arrives, and they will make a decision then. But then I would have overstayed my visa without extension? Was I just unlucky or am I screwed? Please help

Vincent, feel sorry for this dilemma. If I were you, I would leave China before it expires. Otherwise, you will overstay and it will affect your future applcitaion.
