Phuket to Bangkok to Beijing (17.5 hours layover) to San Francisco

I have a Philippine passport with a green card in the U.S. Do I need a visa if my layover in BJ is only 17.5 hours? The layover is from Bangkok to BJ, coming back to San Francisco.

And will I have problems flying from Bangkok to Phuket?

Oh, you are eligible for 24h visa free transit at PEK, so there is no need to hold a visa. No worry! If u wanna have a short trip during the layover, do apply for a stay permit at the immigration counter. It is quite easy!
