Changing platform in wuhan station

Hi. I am going from Zaoyang to Zuhai. My train from Zaoyang arrived in Wuhan station at 15:58 and my connecting train departing for Zuhai is at 16:19. I have only 21 mins connecting time. Can I make it for the transfer and which is the quickest way to get around between the platform. I am traveling with a young child. Thanks.

Well, I'm afraid that the time is tight. You should prepare at least 30-40 minutes to transfer the trains.

Here are some ways.
1. Ask a staff there.
2. Follow the signs "中转换乘" or "中转" on the floor or on the wall. Make sure you are NOT transferring to subway or buses.
3. Follow the crowd to go to the "Arrival Level"(到达层, 到达 or 出站), but do NOT exit the gate (you will need to insert your ticket there). Usually it is on B1 Level (assume that the train platform is at Ground Level). Then you go directly to the other platform exit and step up the stairs!
4. Take the elevator at the platform and goes up to the "Departure Level" (出发) (Usually the first floor). Then you ask the staff there.
