is april the best time?

Cathy and I are very interested  in taking a tour that might include  Vietnam, Cambodia (Ankor Was), perhaps laos and Thailand (perhaps some other destinations too).We are thinking in terms of April?

In April, it is hot and dry in Southeast Asia. It is also during their own New Year time and Water Festival in Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. The holiday is from Apr 12 to Apr 17. During that period of time, it gets crowded everywhere, so a little difficult to travel during thie time. If your travel date is flexible, you may avoid this special time. But it is no problem to visit Vietnam in April.
