luggage problem

If I do arrive at the hotel before check in time, is there somewhere to leave luggage so that I can go for a walk in the local area.

You may leave your luggage at the hotel reception or concierge. Most of hotels offer such service free for their clients. But you should take the valuable belongings with you.
