About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Need for 72 hour visa?

I am flying from UK via Dubai (3 hour stop over) to Hong Kong. I am staying in Hong Kong for 10 nights. I then plan to fly to Shanghai for 48 hours. From Shanghai I plan to return to the UK via Dubai again.
Will this qualify for a 72 hour free transit?

You don't need a Chinese visa if your flight from Shanghai to Dubai doesn't stop in Hong Kong or China.
