Can I travel with my hermes crocodile bag or any high value handbag

Hi I will be traveling to Beijing / Japan /hong Kong’s in few days . I am USA citizen, I am concern about custom in Beijing.

I like to travel with my hermes crocodile bag bag is that allow?

Also if I bring a expensive handbag over 5000 RMB.....PERSONAL USE ONLY NO SELLING NO GIFT , do I have to declear since I am tourist ? Do I have to pay duty?

As I know, passengers need to declare the items when the total value of them exceeds CNY5,000. In addition, paying tax is necessary.

I guess you can bring your Hermes Crocodile Handbag as long as you carry it, no box whatsoever, treat it as a carry on bag, shouldn't be a problem
