When the visa exemption is implemented, will tourists be able to use it in conjunction with the existing Shanghai 144-hour visa exemption? For example, I understand the following itinerary is currently NOT eligible due to the transit in Guangzhou:ARRIVING DETAILSHong Kong (HKG) - Shanghai Pudong (PVG)DEPARTING DETAILS (2 days later)Shanghai (SHA) - Guangzhou (CAN) [transit only] - Nha Trang Vietnam (CXR)Will this itinerary be permitted once Guangdong 144-hour visa exemption is implemented?

No, the policy allows only one transfer in Chinese domestic city, so the mentioned route doesn't suit, although it is only a transit in CAN. But you may go to HK from Shanghai for a transfer. Then go into Guangzhou to enjoy the service.
