About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, my husband and I are arriving in Shanghai Pudong by air cruising next day back to Australia

Via various countries can we use the 144. This year we visited via ship and we had a 2 visit visa. karen

Hi, if you travel like Australia-Shanghai(144 hours)-another country or region instead of Australia, you can use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. No visa will be needed then.

Ok ,so we fly direct to Shanghai from Australia pickup the ship 24 hrs later then on to s Korea, HK , Singapore etc till 20 days later we arrive by ship back in Australia so I think the 144 will be ok . Do I agree please
