Psb visa interview

Hi. I have been a student in Beijing for 2 years. This time, when I applied to renew my entry permit, the university asked me to go to the psb for a visa interview. As far as I know, these interviews are common when someone applies for an entry permit personally. But even though the uni is applying for the visa, i have to go for the interview.
Has anyone heard of anything like this?
What do you think they will ask?

Hi, maybe you need to go for the interview for that. Usually, the consular officers may inquire your basic personal information and your detailed travel itinerary such as why you go to China, how long you will stay etc.
