Pudong to Hongqiao for an Australian passport holder

Hi,
I'm holding an Australian passport and I'm looking to transfer from Pudong airport to Hongqiao airport to catch my next connecting flight. Because I need to go out of Pudong airport to get to Hongqiao airport, do I need/am I eligible for the 24-hour free transit? Is there a counter at Pudong airport for me to confirm that and transfer? And once I arrive at Hongqiao and go through customs, do I need to show anything in regards to my transfer from Pudong airport?
Thank you.

Hi, if you will go to a third country or region rather than Australia after transiting in Shanghai, you can apply for 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai by showing your passport and tickets. No visa is needed.
