72 hours visa in Guangzhou

Hi, we are going to Bangladesh via China by China Southern Airlines. We will have two days transit in China, arriving at Guangzhou at 5 am on 30 November 2017. I have booked hotel in Shenzhen for ttwo nights. I also bought high speed train tickets for Shenzhen. Do we qualify 72 hours free transit. We will arrive in Guangzhou at 5 am on 30 Nov and depart at 9:20 pm on 2 Dec. We are Australian citizen

Hi, you won't qualify 72 hours free transit because the 72 hour policy requires passengers to transit in one Chinese city only. You should apply for a transit G type in advance if you will go to Shenzhen from Guangzhou.

You can go to Shenzhen as long as you are departing from Guangzhou airport.
