About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

Documentation Authentication/Certification

Hi,

I need to get certain documents certified. What is the process for this? Can I just go in to your office?

Please advise.

Hi, you should first get the document notarized by the local notary public and the Secretary of State of your country(some states also require that the documents need to be notarized by County Clerk); and then go to the embassy or the consulate of China to get that attested.
