About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

We are due to arrive in Tianjin via a cruies and fly from Beijing 72 ours later.

Do we need entry permits?
Do we need any other documentation during our stay

You'll need a transit visa as of now. Beijing has announced a joint visa-free transit policy with Tianjin but there's no indication on when it could be implemented.
