Traveling from Beijing to Shanghai via Shoalin Temple

In April we will be going to China and would like to travel from Beijing to Shanghai, ideally via the Shoalin Temple. It seems rather confusing to figure out the best and most cost effective route. Would there be a fast train and is it easy to figure out?
Thanks

You may choose to take a high speed ride to Zhengzhou first. They would stop at Zhengzhou East Station. Then you can take taxi or subway to transfer to Zhengzhou Railway Station. There is a long distance bus center nearby, you can take a bus there to reach Shaolin Temple.

You can use the same way to go back to Zhengzhou East Station and then continue to Shanghai by high speed ride.

in fact, you may also find a direct bus (coach) to Shaolin Temple at Zhengzhoudong Railway Station & Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport.
Attention: If you buy a ticket, "East" will be replaced by Romanized Chinese (Pinyin) "dong".
