Tourist to student visa in China

Hi ... I am a South African on a tourist L to China. I wish to study here. Do I need to go back to South Africa to apply for a student X or can I do it in China before my tourist L expires?

Hi, Quintin, it is possible to convert the tourist L type to student X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to go back to South Africa for that. You can have a try!
