77 hours in Dalian & Yantai as German Visiting from Japan

Dear Staff, I have permanent residence in Japan and visit two cities in China (Dalian in Liaoning & Yantai in Shandong). I arrive Dec 8 at 10:00 morning and leave Dec 11 at 17:00. I fly from Haneda Tokyo and return to the same airport.
Please let me know if this counts as "transit" or if a visa is required.
Thank you!
Michel

Hi, Miguel, your travel route is not a transit and you are supposed to apply for a visa for that beforehand.

Yes. You need a visa because your travel route is not a transit.
