Shanghai Visa for a Iraqi passport holder

I am a Iraqi passport holder and permanent resident in US. I would like to visit Shanghai before flying to Sydney. I would like to fly directly from US to Shanghai then from Shanghai to directly to Sydney. Will I qualify for the either the 144 or 72 hours free transit waiver program?

Hi, you won't qualify for either the 144 or 72 hours free transit waiver program. You are advised to apply for a visa for the trip in advance.
