About:China Transit Visa

Thailand - Chengdu (23hrs) - Shanghai (3hrs) - USA

Hello,

Leaving from Thailand-> Chengdu for 23hrs -> Shanghai (3hrs) -> USA

Would I be able to get a 24hr transit in Chengdu if I'm leaving from Thailand and have a short 3hr layover in Shanghai then back to USA?

I'm afraid you cannot use 24 hour direct transit in Chengdu because of your total layover time is more than 24 hours, and you are advised to apply for a visa in advance.
