Can I bring my Chef knives into China?

I’ve been to China about a dozen times and used to live there. I’m a chef now and want to bring my Chef knives with me on my next trip. Will they get confiscated?

Generally speaking, you can take these knives in your checked luggage. But you are advised to get the permission of the airline. Consulting your airline is necessary.
