Hi, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai and Chengdu if you travel like that. No visa is needed. Nice trip!

Perfect, thanks! I am happy.
And my way back: Auckland- Guangzhou (1 hour layover) - Shanghai - (we would like to be there up to 72 hours) and then continue - Amsterdam - Prague. It is possible without a visa, as well?

You are not able to use the free transit policy in mainland China for Auckland- Guangzhou - Shanghai - Amsterdam. You need a visa for this trip beforehand.

Thanks for response. :) And what is the reason why do I need a visa in this case?

The multi-stop domestic transit is banned by Guangzhou immigration, so you cannot use the policy if will have another flight in Shanghai.

Thank you for info! One more question, just to be sure. Is the multi-stop domestic transit in Chengdu and Shanghai ok?, right?
