Yes, as I know, many shopping malls, chain hotels and restaurants accept visa card and mastercard. Don't worry. :)0

Actually, the number of vendors that accept Visa/Mastercard is shrinking. They've almost all switched over to Union Pay (the Chinese equivalent). Fortunately, Union Pay has a partnership with Discover so Union Pay cards can be used in the U.S. and Discover cards can be used in China.
