getting to the jade dragon snow moutain.

Question

Hi, guys, we plan to travel to the summit of the mountain, what are some of the best way to to go there. Would a taxi be expensive?  We only plan to go to the top, we reach Lijiang at around 8:00 from night train. We plane to leave Lijiang at 9:30 to go to the mountain. What do you recommend, Is there a place were we can get lunch near snow mountain. We are going in early November, (soon!) should it be long to wait for the que , how long would it be to wait and go up and down. Thanks

Suggestions about transport: You can take Bus 4 to the Ancient Twon first, which takes about 20 minutes and CNY1 for each.Then you can hire a local car to the mountain, as I know, it costs about CNY50/ per person for a round trip. After arrival, you can take the cable car to the summit.Don’t worry about the que, there won’t be many visitors.As for food, I heard there is only one restaurant inside the scenic area, but not tasty and expensive. So you are suggested to prepare some food in the ancient city.Have a nice trip!

Hi anyone take bus 4 from LJ old town until which location in order hire taxi ?is it difficult to get taxi from Yulong mountain back to LJ ?

I guess Selina referred to take the bus 4 to the old town from LJ Railway station and then hire a taxi from the old town to the mountain.Anyway, I think you can hire a car to take you to the mountain and back to the town. There are many local cars doing that and the fare is around 200RMB.
