About:Changbai Mountain

Can you advise how to I go Chang Bai Shan from Harbin?

we planned to visit in early Jan 2018. thankyou.

You are suggested to take a bullet train to Antu first. The train from Harbin leaves at 9:04 and takes about 4 hours, CNY246.5 for a first class seat, CNY181 for a second one; the train from Harbin West leaves at 14:10 and takes about 4 hour, CNY238.5 for a first class seat, CNY174 for a second one.
After arrival, you can hire a local car, which cost CNY200-250 to North Slope for a single trip.

probably i may visit CBS alone. besides hiring a car, any public transport to get to north slopes?

Any advice which town or city to stay over night as i dont want to rush.

I read somewhere that South Slope is close to DIY tourist?

In that case, you can take a taxi to Antu Bus Station and then take a regular bus to Erdao Baihe. Then, take a local car to the North Slope with a fare of about CNY15. Besides, you can stay in Erdao Baihe Town, many hotels are available.
Actually, many visitors would like to arrange the trip not only to south slope but also north and west slope.
