About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour transit visa for French citizen

I want to travel just in Shanghai 5 days.

I m French citizen and I want to travel from Australia ( sydney ) to Shanghai and stay and after came back in sydney. I'm available for the 144 transit?

Can I came back in New Zealand?

Australia-China-Australia isn't a transit so obviously does not qualify for 144 hrs free transit. Australia-China-New Zealand-Australia would qualify as long as you are on non-stop flights.

Thanks Rob for the anshwer ! So i can book my flight and travel from Sydney to Shanghai and Shanghai to New Zeland ? (stay 5 days in Shanghai)

Yes, as long as your Shanghai-New Zealand flight doesn't stop in China or Australia (assuming your Sydney-Shanghai is non-stop).
